Dr Gemma Perry is a researcher and yoga teacher specialising in chanting, mantra, and sound-based contemplative practices. She holds a PhD from Macquarie University where she investigated the psychology of chanting, including impacts on stress, social connection, and altered states.
Her current work examines the neurophysiological mechanisms of chanting, environmental empathy, and neurodiversity. Her aim is to support wider recognition of chanting and sound-based interventions across health, education, and workplace settings.
