Moira is a founding Director of Yoga for Good Foundation (YFG) and an experienced Yoga teacher, Artist, and businesswoman. YFG supports yoga practice in the wider community; we offer Grants to yoga teachers and organisations to bring benefits to people with specific needs, who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience how yoga can make a difference in their lives. 'Our Grants make all the difference in bringing creative dreams to reality.' We also host monthly online classes to demonstrate how various yoga styles contribute to the community.
Having taught Yoga to many people in various settings over the years, Moira combines Dru Yoga, Mental Health Awareness Yoga, and Creativity in YARToga workshops. Merging modes of practice to aid self-empowerment and recovery from stress and trauma for many who wouldn’t necessarily turn to Yoga and Art supplies for tools in challenging times.
This year, our YFG Retreat at the Spring equinox is from 18th to 20th September. It features 3 days of ‘Discovering Nature through Yoga’, including a Yoga Ceremony, Satyananda Yoga, Mother Earth-based Yoga, The spiral of growth and becoming like a Tree, Yoga Nidra, Kirtan, Sound healing, and the sharing of YFG Grant stories. All set on the edge of the Forest of the Royal National Park at Otford, south of Sydney.
